For months now, students have been gathering on campuses in America,

chanting, singing, even the odd bit of drumming,

carrying banners and Palestinian flags to protest against the war in Gaza.

But just over three weeks ago,

when the police moved in to clear the protests,

they exploded.

Violence broke out and now almost 3,000 protesters have been arrested.
