Summary
Conor and Gary have had a couple of days to chew on the NFL schedule after the league’s overwrought, (seemingly) months-long trickle of a release. Here’s what they settled on:
First, the curious case of the Cleveland Browns’ utter lack of primetime appearances. How Deshaun Watson (very likely) affected that beyond just a potential suspension, and who it helps and who it hurts in Cleveland.
Then, a look at five teams who got—maybe, perhaps, just a little bit—hosed by the schedule-makers, whether it be impossible stretches of games, lengthy travel or, most importantly, a lack of rest. And how those tough schedules could ultimately affect a couple of teams looking at some difficult transitions.
Plus, a discussion of what will surely be a frustrating foray into streaming TV for many fans as Amazon Prime takes over the Thursday Night Football package, and identifying our favorite games of the 2022 season.

| 0:00.0 | Hello and I'm Connor Orr. |
| 0:11.3 | It's been a couple of days now since the NFL schedule release, the three-month |
| 0:16.2 | extra-Gamsa of rolling out what is going to go on as far as who plays not who plays whom but when and where who everybody |
| 0:29.6 | plays each other and it's all a little silly. The pop-in circumstance around the rollout is |
| 0:36.0 | absurd. However, it can't be completely dismissed because there is some |
| 0:40.9 | impact that you get beyond just the matchups. |
| 0:45.0 | Yeah, I think so. |
| 0:47.0 | I think one of the, well first of all, schedule release reminds me of, |
| 0:51.0 | you know what this is the equivalent of, it's the equivalent of, you know, when you get a |
| 0:55.1 | wedding invitation in the mail and they have you check off what you want for dinner? |
| 1:00.0 | Mm-hmm. So it's like, you know what you're having it but it's almost like the NFL schedule is just like you know what you're having but we're going to tell you like what order it's it so it's like the wedding is just like okay you ready for this you're going to have what you said you were going to have |
| 1:15.9 | But then the appetizers are going to be first and then it's like whoa again. I can't believe it |
| 1:22.2 | But yeah, that's the NFL schedule. |
| 1:24.4 | But I think the one thing that everyone waits for, |
| 1:27.1 | and I think that pisses coaches off the most, right, |
| 1:29.9 | is net rest differential, right? |
| 1:33.3 | And I think that this is a big swing. |
| 1:36.3 | I mean, now NFL's advanced statistics outfit |
| 1:41.8 | and ESPN's advanced Statistics Outfit both calculate this. |
| 1:45.2 | They had a different worst net differential, but, or different best net differential, but the by far is Packers minus 13 rest days |
| 1:57.0 | Compared to the mean which is significant. I mean that's you know that sucks and, and it's interesting, right? |
| 2:04.0 | Because Aaron Rogers is already complaining about |
