The Janus Intenticcumbo rumors persist. Why don't the Celtics seem interested?

SI. I've been covering this team for about 20 years now. Doing this podcast for 10,

this bonus content is a lot of times it's like a leftover from a larger conversation.

I found the Janus and Thinzacompo talk, an interesting little tangent between me and Keith

Smith of Spot Track, who joined me on Monday for a long conversation.

We talked for over an hour.

So you get podcast number one was the Monday podcast.

Podcast number two will be the Tuesday podcast.

This is about 15 minutes or so of extra stuff specifically about Janus that I didn't

want to include in the other

parts because that's just more bigger team building. And this is a little bit more specific.

Now, I wrote about this on the Celtics on SI sites. And so my initial take for why the Celtics

aren't interested is it's not time for them to be interested yet.

I know that there's a lot of hurt feelings from people after losing in the first round.

I think to go back to Sean Grandy's line of to break your heart, they had to,

they had to capture it first. They captured a lot of hearts this regular season. They won the 56 games. And everybody just put, hey, now that you won 56 games. And I am very guilty of this as well. I am very guilty of this as well. You won 56 games. Now we're going to treat you like a 56 win team. And when the playoffs came around, a lot of stuff that they weren't prepared for,

they weren't built for, kind of came together.

And part of that is Jalen leading a team by himself with 80% of Jason Tatum.

That was not the ideal structure.
