Chris Carter of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast. The Pittsburgh Steelers' recent history with the Buffalo Bills shows why Mason Rudolph might have a key trait to pulling off an upset. In all the previous games against the Bills, the Steelers' quarterbacks failed to stick to the gameplan and turned the ball over with interceptions and fumbles. But Rudolph, in three games, hasn't thrown a single interception, and has been extremely efficient. If he simply keeps up his fundamentals from the past three games, that might be the key factor to avoiding the pitfalls the Steelers have suffered in their most recent losses to the Bills. Also, Chris Carter explains his film study of the Steelers' run game, and the key bread and butter plays developed from the offensive line with Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. He also asked Mike Tomlin about how that's developed, and what it's done for the Steelers' run game. That could be the biggest factor to beating the Bills, as the weather conditions look like they'll be terrible again, and might require a dominant rushing performance to win the game. Finally, Joey Porter Jr. will have a tall task of covering Stefon Diggs. Tomlin explains on the show what Diggs does very well, and Chris Carter explains how Porter Jr. has to counter those talents if the Steelers want to limit Josh Allen and the Bills' explosive offense.
