So, we can see that we live such that as the days pass, we become closer to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

So that the day we actually die, we would be the closest we ever worked to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

And that being the case, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala is mercy we beseech, and we ask for.

We hope for.

And we have complete hope that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will look at us with the eyes of mercy.

We ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to bless his entire household, all those who have struggled

and strove through the years, the companions of Muhammad ﷺ, the scholars of Islam who

have preserved and protected the deen, may Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala bless them all.

My brothers and sisters, why do we start this way?

That's a very important question.

Many times people think, why do we need to say Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim at the

beginning of something?

That goes straight back to the narration of the Prophet ﷺ, he says,

and according to another narration, meaning the narration, the meaning of it is every important

matter.

Arabic

And everything that is of importance, that is not started off in the name of Allah, shall

be cut off.

Cut off of goodness, cut off of blessing, cut off of success and so on, the ultimate success.
