Why am I doing this?

Why am I particularly gung-ho on this all of a sudden? Is it money? Well, sure, okay, there's a

financial benefit to me, obviously, but that's true of anyone selling anything. I could sell you

Marcus Aurelius T-shirts and accomplish the same thing on that front. But what are you going to do with a

Marcus Aurelius T-shirt that you don't

already do with every other T-shirt you have? And is it going to make you a better Stoic or a more

fulfilled person? No, probably not. So again, why? What's the real reason? Because after watching

that Manosphere documentary and, you know, just consuming the news cycle for

the last six to seven years, I'm more than just a little bit fed up with the state of things.

And this podcast helps people, and I'm very grateful for that, but it's a one-way street kind of conversation

that we're having here. It's just me talking at you, like someone giving a lecture. And again,

that's got value, and I'm grateful that it does, and I appreciate all of you for showing up

every week and for making space for stoicism in your life and for my

teaching of it, in fact. But it's so limited this podcast, I mean, in its ability to help

because it can't respond to you. I can't respond to you through it. It's just me talking,

you thinking about what I said, and then I don't get to know what you're thinking.
