and Seattle go together as seamlessly as f fa broth and a squeeze of lime.

For over 40 years, the city's been a culinary hub for Vietnamese dishes, and things are only getting started.

Thank you. But first, let's get you caught up. Today is May Day, also known as International Workers' Day, and there are some demonstrations

happening in the Seattle area. A May Day march for workers and migrants is happening

downtown from 10 to 2, and hotel workers are rallying

outside the West in Seattle. Hotel employees nationally are preparing for labor disputes

with major hotel chains like Hilton, Marriott, and Hyatt. Good news for Seattle area tech

giants this week. Amazon reported a $10.4 billion profit in the first quarter of 2024.

That's compared to $3.2 billion at this time last year. And Redman-based Microsoft posted a $29 billion

first quarter profit, according to its earnings call from last week. And speaking of Microsoft, the Redmond-based company and Open AI are going to have to

lawyer up.

Eight newspapers, including the New York Daily News and the Chicago Tribune, are suing

the two companies for copyright infringement.
