I'm Shane Morris. There's a game teachers sometimes play in elementary school called fact or

opinion. The teacher makes a statement like, the sky is blue or vanilla ice cream is better than

chocolate, and students decide whether it's a fact or an opinion. The fact is that the sky

is blue, and the favorite ice cream flavor is an opinion. In other words, some things are

objective, while other things are subjective. The problem with this game is that it implies that

only observable or scientific facts are objective, while value judgments are mere opinions.

Things we can see, hear, taste, touch, or smell are non-negotiable.

Everything else?

Well, it depends on who you ask.
