Let me start with an update on how things are going with my book outside the wire, 10

lessons I learned in everyday courage, which comes out August 7th.

The book tour dates and the media appearances are coming together and things are getting

pretty exciting.

I've written out hundreds of customized inscriptions that people requested already.

At this pace, who knows, I may end up doing over a thousand of these things, so I got

a draw line.

Which makes this the last week when you can customize the inscription that you want

in your copy of the book.

And look, cool pre-sale rewards aside, I'm just really proud of this book.

I poured my heart into it, I really think you'll like it, and that you'll find it entertaining

and inspiring.

It's everything that I've learned in the military and in public service about trying to make

the world a better place without losing who you are.

It's nothing like your average politician book.

It's like a handbook for anyone who wants to read about my humiliating or embarrassing

moments so you can avoid repeating them.

Plus, there's a lot in there about how cool my wife is, and those are some of my favorite

stories in the book.
