Hello and welcome to Coffee House Shots, the Spectator's Daily Politics Podcast. I'm Cindy You and I'm joined by Isabel Hardman and Katie Balls.

So after yesterday's unsurprising G7 conclusion that America was not going to extend the August 31st deadline, perhaps there was a silver lining that had been agreed at the meeting.

0:38.4

Here's what the Prime Minister had to say afterwards.

0:41.2

The number one condition we're setting as G7 is that they've got to guarantee right the way through,

1:39.9

endear the Taliban to the people who are desperately trying to leave.

1:44.6

I think one thing that hasn't really been talked about,

1:47.8

possibly, again, because G7 leaders really don't know what the answer is,

1:52.3

is what's going to happen to the people outside Kabul airport,

1:56.1

who are there already in horrendous conditions,

2:00.2

panicking about whether or not the next 48 hours,

2:03.6

which is really what we've got left of the evacuation, particularly from the British side,
