The theme of this entire four-part series is found here in the Book of Acts.

So let's stand together, if you would, and it's only three verses.

You can read verse number two together, but I just love this.

You say, Jack, that's not a traditional Christmas passage, and I know it's not.

But I told you guys at the beginning before last Sunday that we were going to be looking

at Christmas with an apologetic, meaning an argumentation, that is an argument from the

Bible as to why all these things are true.

We're avoiding the Christmas story, and we're talking about the Christmas facts.

And so, as I mentioned last Sunday, the book of Acts is written by none other than our author of the Gospel of Luke.

He's the same guy, and he writes, by the way, Luke's gospel to Theophilus as he writes

the opening lines to the Book of Acts to Theophilus again. The former account I made to Theophilus

of all that Jesus began both to do and teach.

Until the day in which he was taken up after he, through the Holy Spirit,

had given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen.

To whom he also presented himself alive after his suffering by many infallible proofs,

being seen by them during 40 days and speaking of the things

pertaining to the kingdom of God.

And all God's people said, amen.

You may be seated, everybody.

And as we're looking at the theme, why?

It's not so much that we're asking a question.

We're answering a statement. And
