We're here at Square Books, one of the nicest places, Jeff, in Oxford, and it's one of the few places in the state of Mississippi where you can get local authors, national authors, the perfect place for a book, and today a perfect place to talk about Ole Miss Sports.

It is, Brad, and, you know, it's a real special place in Oxford and and people have

known that for years I think it opened in like 1979 and it's you know it's really

been a draw for this town yeah and one of really one of America's great independent

bookstores.

You know, we're lucky to have it.

You know, I had a chance to visit some of the folks at work downstairs.

And if you ever have a chance to come to Oxford, you need a cup of coffee and just looking to kind of, you know, decompress, step away for a little bit.

And Jeff, before we began today, we talked about some local authors, and we'll get into that maybe down the road.

But Oxford is a place to where, and I'm sure it may be the same at other places, but for a town and community this small, a lot of great authors have come from Oxford.

Yeah, I was telling Brad, before we got started, one of the first things that I remember on this balcony here was back probably early to mid-90s, we were still playing some football games

and Jackson and other places, Memphis, as home games and played Georgia here a good bit though and a couple

of times Lewis Rissard the late great humorous columnist's author was would come to Oxford for the

games and he had a couple of book signings here and Square Books doesn't really have book signings

i do remember lewis being up here for one of those and he was a character and i don't know just

remember back to those kind of times when you know again like you said it's been real special to have
