What is going on in the workplace today and nobody wants to be

around their boss? You know everybody's hanging out in the hallway having a good time.

Hey! Boss comes walking around and they scatter like vultures on the side of the road.

It's like the boss has rolled a bowling ball

at the people who are bowling pins and everybody scatters.

This is a real thing, why nobody wants to be around their boss.

So I'm going to give you the answer first and then help you leaders figure out how to not be this kind of boss.

All right, so here's what's going on.

The reason why nobody wants to be around their boss is the same reason why you don't want to be

around acquaintances or co-workers or friends that just don't provide any value. Okay, this is a gut check, all right? And I'm be I will I

first and then I'll be honest. How many of you have recently been in a situation where a friend, and I'm saying friend in air quotes because this is not a deep

close friend and this will be obvious, but a friend or an acquaintance, a new connection

has reached out to you and suggested

that you get together for coffee or lunch.
