Sometimes in the NFL, a strength can be a weakness and a weakness can be a strength.

The Jets have made some tradeoffs as they build their 2025 roster, and these tradeoffs could end up helping the team in the end.

sometimes you have to make certain tradeoffs. Sometimes you need to sacrifice your ability to

perform in one area of the game in order to improve it in another area.

And the Jets have made some trade-offs this offseason.

They have essentially sacrificed areas where they were good last year in the hopes to be better in different areas in 2025.

And we're going to explore some of those areas on today's episode.

And I'm going to begin by talking about the most

important position on the field, and that's the quarterback position. And of course, the Jets are going

from Aaron Rogers to Justin Fields. Aaron Rogers is a future Hall of Famer, but clearly, I think,

at the end of his career. And last year, if we're going to be honest, was not a terribly

effective quarterback for the New York Jets.

Now, one thing Aaron Rogers did bring to the table was a quick release.

Rogers got the ball out quickly.

Not only that, Rogers was pretty adept at getting the Jets into the right play.

He was adept at setting the protection.

I would expect with Justin Fields at quarterback, some of the Jets pass blocking metrics,

some of their statistics and pass blocking are probably going to go down because Rogers got

the ball out rapidly. I mean, through much of the year, he was one of the quickest,
