Welcome to another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Sue and I'm Neil Patel and today we're going to talk about why movie pass failed as a business.

So Neil, do you remember what movie pass is? Have you ever tried it before? I haven't tried it. I thought it was too good to be true, so I never bought it. I know Costco sold affordable membership of movie pass, if I'm not mistaken.

It's where you can pay for a monthly fee and you can go and watch as many movies as you want all the theaters that were supported in their past and it was a lot of the popular theaters.

But I saw that and I'm like, is A too good to be true and B I don't go to the movie theater that much so I'm like I don't want to end up wasting the money but yeah I know the company had a lot of financial issues and eventually Tech Run shorter articles saying

that they closed down. Yeah recently they closed down I'm looking at crunch

based right now they raised about 68.7 million bucks and required by an analytics
