| 0:00.0 | Thank you for joining us for episode 432 of Live Happy Now. |
| 0:07.8 | We've heard that money can't buy happiness, but how does our perception of money affect our well-being? |
| 0:14.1 | I'm your host, Paula Phelps, and this week I'm talking with author and lecturer Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, |
| 0:19.6 | co-founder of the Happiness Studies Academy and creator |
| 0:22.5 | of the master's degree in happiness studies. Tahl is here to talk about recent findings that show |
| 0:28.0 | our perception of money has changed dramatically and it's damaging our happiness. He's going to |
| 0:33.9 | break down what this survey tells us and why it's so important to change our view of money for the sake of our well-being. |
| 0:40.4 | Let's have a listen. |
| 0:42.5 | Tau, thank you so much for coming back on Live Happy Now. |

| 1:25.3 | people who were making a lot of money. They were in the top |
| 1:29.6 | tenth of the population in terms of income, about $175,000. And yet a large minority were |
| 1:36.5 | feeding poor and the majority were not feeling comfortable about how much they were making. |
| 1:43.5 | Now, most people, probably around 90% of the |
| 1:46.7 | population would say, you know, what are they about? They're, you know, they're spoiled and, |
| 1:50.9 | you know, they have so much money. They should be, first of all, grateful, second, happy. |
