Charlie, just what are you thinking about Matt Veimishkov entering his sophomore season?

Yeah, my expectations are pretty high for Mishkov.

But I guess this is where you're talking about what's the like the distinction between expectations,

reasonable expectations, and then what I think is legitimately possible.

Because to me, like a reasonable expectation for Mav Mishkov, based on what he did last year.

Last year, he scored 26 goals, 63 points, in 80 games, and he was getting about 20 seconds under 17 minutes a night of ice time.

So 16, 41 minutes of ice time.

I think it is reasonable to expect that at the very least, he will approach

and possibly even jump the 30 goal 70 point threshold. I think that is a reasonable expectation.

Assuming he stays healthy, of course, if you miss his time, all bets are off in terms of

raw numbers. But I think it's reasonable to expect 30 goal pace, 70 point pace as well. And if he plays on 82, he would hit those numbers

outright if he was on that pace. That's the reasonable expectation. I'm personally thinking it's

very possible he's point per game. I am because number one, I'm expecting him to get more minutes. I am. John

Torteroella had a goal. His goal was, I'm going to tough love this kid and five years down

the road, everybody's going to thank me that I was hard on him and that I didn't give him all

the minutes and that I sheltered him and whatever. I think Tocke is going to loosen the reins a bit.

Now, he's going to be tough on him, I'm sure.

He's not going to let him do whatever he wants.

But as Danny Brear has said multiple times, there's no coach we were going to hire that

was going to be tougher on the players than John Swarderell was.

He was unique. So it's going to be easier for Mishko John Tortero was. He was unique.

So it's going to be easier for Mishkoff to, I think, do what he wants to do.
