I was critical of his play against, you know, against Detroit on Thursday night, but I also

think it might be good for him.

I wanted to talk about Mishkov playing and contributing in these big games lately.

In the second period, he makes a great individual effort to end a 12-game goal drought

scoring on Ilya Sorokin.

And the first thing I wanted to bring up, which is funny.

Four goals in 19 and two-thirds games since the Olympic break.

Three against Shisterkin, one against Sorokin.

So he can beat elite Russian goal-tending.

It's just everyone else apparently he's had trouble with. Maybe he just has an axe to grind against his countryman. Maybe. He wants to show he's the best. Absolutely. But he's got four goals now and nine assists in these almost 20 games since the break. That's 0.65 points per game. All right. That's getting closer to where he was last year.

He was almost at like 0.8, I think. But prior to the Olympics, just over half a point a game, he has been producing more.

And we've talked so much recently about this is why they're doing the rebuild this way.

They're doing it to get kids experience in big games

so that when they are actually like, hey, it's playoffs or bust, hey, it's Eastern Conference

final or bust, you know, it's not brand new to them, must-win situations, pressure, etc.

I was just looking through some of the like 21, 22 and under group that the Flyers are trotting out there.

And, you know, Denver Barkie, scratched tonight, but he's been playing.

He's been playing his amateur hockey on a stacked London Knights team that had Memorial Cup aspirations every year.

Like that's who the London Knights are.

Sure.

They're, you know, professional development, excellent franchise.

Even when they don't win, they're in the mix.
