We're so glad that you're here. and we are doing the Marriage Minute because sometimes

we just don't have time to listen to a full-length episode, so we want to give you a little tidbit of marriage encouragement as you go into your weekend. So let's dive in. Any hunter or chef will tell you that the most dangerous kind of knife is a dull knife. Yeah. Yeah, because you try to force it to do things it's not designed to do.

But when it's sharp, it does things it's not designed to do.

But when it's sharp, it does exactly what you're supposed to do.

Well, the Bible says that iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

So the friction that we experience in marriage is actually useful to helping us become

a better version of ourself.

That friction, that conflict can actually rub off some of those rough edges that we all have

and then allow us to show up in the relationship a better version of ourself.

But because we fear the conflict, we fear that friction, we try to avoid it.

And then it gets worse.

And so in mediation, we teach couples how to deal with conflict effectively, successfully, and not to fear it.

And it changes the whole dynamic of the relationship.
