I did not think that I should be the leader of that. I thought that there were other voices

that would be more important. Yeah, those systems of power are just so intractable and I think

oftentimes dominated by kind of a good old boys club. We keep coming together, come up with

ideas, create things that are important to all the communities. See what I'm saying? They're

partnership. All this is a partnership. The people have no voice. I'm not sure what I'm

going to do for sure yet but I'm not going to play it. I'm not sure.

happy to be here with you and every time it is true. We have the best gig on the internet,

it's my personal opinion and as things continue to shift and change and intensify across the country.

No, feels even more true. It does and we want to thank several of you who are helping us be

here with you. We have a new executive producer, Lori Ladal. Lori, thank you so much for becoming

part of our executive producer team. Also, we want to thank Josh and Lori Beth,

reading their messages and getting to know them has been a gift to us. So we're so grateful to

all of you who support the show in a variety of ways. Today's episode is really going to continue

that Pant Suit Politics is a community, not just a podcast spirit. We started thinking about

all the protests across the country, not just in big cities where the streets swell with thousands

of people, but in small towns where the streets fill with a couple hundred. We wanted to talk about

that experience and speak to some of the activists on the ground. And we don't want it to get lost

that June is Pride Month and there is a long history of organizing, protesting, and celebrating
