The Republican Party, I disagree with them on pretty much everything.

But what I do admire about Republicans is they unapologetically fight for their agenda.

You know, they unapologetically fight for their kind of hard-right,

almost white nationalistic agenda at times, especially Donald Trump, hard-line on immigration.

He's very unapologetic. It's funny to describe that.

There was another guy who came on, Matt Jones, who's a Democrat from Kentucky,

and he said something really, really stuck with me.

He said that one thing Republicans do better than Democrats is they let some of the internal fights take their course.

So if you have a more extreme person who ends up the nominee of your party in a particular congressional race,

and you're like, oh, all right, the Democratic Party is always trying to stick its nose in earlier in the process

to try and keep progressives or folks who they think are, in your mind, unrealistic from actually getting the resource

in necessary to become the party's nominee in those races, under the guise of electability,

but there's more to it than electability.

And I think he was right. I think it was like, wow.

So in that way, Republicans are more like lower-case-d Democratic,

because they'll really just let the will of the people, even if the people choose, in some cases,

like some freaking loons, because there are some freaking loons like absolutely.

That are like pedaling conspiracy theories that have no basis in real life.

So while the Republicans kind of unapologetically fight for their agenda,

and they fight for their base, the Democrats, they're always wanting to moderate their message.
