Turn to Luke 15 and Hebrews 4. Luke 15 and Hebrews 4. We're beginning a new series today entitled

Welcome Home. I'm glad to be back in the pulpit. I've been out of the pulpit for three weeks because we've been having real stories, testimonies. I thought they were great. I was not here for each service. I was preaching in other places the past three weeks, but I heard every

one of the testimonies online. You can go online. I actually watched them online. And I was really

encouraged. James Robinson's story, Jimmy Evans, Clark Whitten, and I really got encouraged

because those guys were bad, you know.

And so if God can help them. I mean I feel pretty good about me personally right now

So anyway I thought it was great, but we're gonna begin a new series entitled Welcome home and it's based on the prodigal son. But let me explain something to you.

You may have heard the prodigal son many times, but where the Holy Spirit is taking me

is so deep in some spiritual truths and principles that it will change your life.

I've had more people come to me.

We've already had five services this weekend.

I've had more people come to me and say that is the deepest message I've ever heard in my life. I'm not saying

that to build up the sermon itself, but what God revealed to me through this first, and this is just the first one, and we're just barely getting started in this thing, so I'm telling you God's going to really use this in your life.

So, Luke chapter 15, let me get there in my Bible as well and where is that in the New Testament?

Luke 15 verse 11, all right? Then he said a certain man had two sons and the younger

of them said to his father father give me the portion of goods that falls to me so

he divided to them his livelihood and not many days after the younger

son gathered altogether, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.

Now notice the word prodigal.

I don't think that we use the word prodigal

in many conversations.
