Hey everybody, Jason here. I wanted to share an update about the show. We're going to change our

0:04.5

schedule from about once a week to twice a month. And the reason why we're doing this is we want

0:10.3

to take a bit of a step back and make sure that we're giving the time and attention to every

0:14.2

episode that they need and that you really deserve. And so what we hope that means for next year is that you'll get

0:21.9

two episodes a month that are full of high quality interviews with guests that you really love

0:28.7

and can learn from, really, really great stories and time for us to go deeper on the topics that are

0:34.3

most important to you, our audience. So we look forward to you

0:38.4

to continue to follow us twice a month for the foreseeable future. And now back to the show.

Thank you for having me. Welcome, Robert. We are thrilled that you are

1:30.1

here. And my first question for you is, are you standing? It is exhausting to launch a book. So before we

1:37.1

talk about your book, let's talk about you. How are you? I'm barely standing, but I've been doing

1:43.5

some things to counterbalance it. My daughter told me she was running her first 10K at school. And so I said, you know what? I'll join you on that. And so it's forced me to run. And so I've been trying to build up stamina and reserve over the last month. Amazing. So can you share the T.L. Do read? Tell us a little bit about the book. I'm going to let you summarize and then we'll jump into specific questions. It's such a great book. Everyone should go out and buy 10 copies today.

2:11.2

Exactly. Thank you. So the book is actually a parable. And the way it came about was actually went to a leadership training about 13 years ago

2:20.4

that sort of changed my life. And the first couple of days were that about, hey, you got to figure

2:24.7

out what you value and understand that because that's how you're going to show up as an authentic

2:29.0

leader. And I was totally on board with that, except they did not tell us how to figure out
