Megan McCain has entered the chat. Welcome back to Citizen McCain. We didn't have our usual schedule this week because obviously the election was happening. And I just want to say first and foremost to everyone that we, I always want to show grace and love and compassion to everyone on all sides.

Elections are hard. This one was particularly hard. A lot of my friends, including wonderful co-host, Miranda, are very upset this morning. I have other friends who are very excited, very happy.

I have other friends who are like me that are sort of like, you know, scared and and just sort of

numb. Like I'm not, I'm not petrified and I'm not happy. I'm sort of just like in the,

in purgatory. Because I wasn't like pulling super hard for her to win either um but

i just want to work through uh a little bit first i just want to say to all the people listening

because we know because we've done data on it i know that a lot of people listening are

independent center right center left we do not have a partisan audience. I am not Candace Owens. We have a

beautiful cornucopia of people who listen to us of all different persuasions. And I love and respect and

accept anyone who wants to believe anything within reason on this show. And when I say that,

I just mean like nothing violent or anything like that.

Miranda, I just want to ask you how you're feeling. I was texting our text chain last night.

At a certain point, everyone stopped texting and I just assumed everyone was upset and needed

to have personal peace at the moment, which is fine. Just tell me how you're feeling.

I don't even know where to start. I mean, clearly, if anybody is watching our video, I've taken to my bed.

I'm in my room. I don't know what I'm feeling because I'm in shock, but in a different way than I was in 2016 when Hillary lost because I didn't know what to expect with a Donald Trump presidency.

Because I knew people who knew him personally who said he's a great

guy, give him a chance, he's a wonderful businessman. And so I was more cautiously optimistic

the first time around. And I just thought he was a goofball and who you know stuck his foot in his mouth

sometimes but um this time around it's kind of like we know he's he's dangerous and we know

that he's kind of like um not not the brightest guy in the world we've seen how he'll throw his own people under the bus. So I'm not hopeful for a positive four years. So I'm in a bad headspace.
