devotionals we just sort of wallow in the word right now and we've been working our way through

something you've probably heard of from sunday school on uh called the sermon on the mount if you have

no clue what that is no worries we're going to still talk about it and you're going to understand

i know that it is early for many of you, but thank you for being here.

So we put them there in the live chat on Rumble. we've been working our way through the book of Matthew chapter, well, I should say not the

book of Matthew, but through the fifth chapter of Matthew, which is the beginning of what is called

the sermon on the mountain. Jesus, it says he went up on the mountain and when he was seated, he called

his disciples to him and he began to teach them saying, And this is what these are the words that he's

said. So we dealt with the beatitudes. Then we talked about being the salt of the earth, light of the

world. A city set on a hill, which no one can ignore. And so we get to verse 17 this morning. And I want to

read just this first part. Then we're going to pray together a little bit
