0:10.7	I'm Keith Simon. Let's start with a thought experiment.
0:15.2	Imagine you saw a LinkedIn account but could only see the person's resume not
0:20.0	their name or their title. And on this mysterious person's resume you read, Lord, Son of God,
0:28.3	Divine ruler, Savior of the World. On the list of the person's accomplishment, they put brought peace to the known world.
0:37.8	Who is this mysterious person?
0:40.1	Well, the answer is easy, isn't it? Of course it's Jesus. Well, maybe. If you lived in the Roman
0:47.2	empire during the first century, you would have said, of course the answer is easy. This is obviously talking about Caesar.
0:54.8	All the titles that we think of of belonging to Jesus were the titles that first belong
0:58.8	to the King of Rome, which of course means that when the title's Lord, Son of God, and Savior were given to Jesus,
1:05.0	they were making a claim that Jesus was the true King, not Caesar.
1:10.0	And when the early Christians declared that Jesus is king, there was this unspoken implication.
1:16.1	If Jesus is the true king, then Caesar isn't.
1:19.8	Now that's the kind of thing that could get you on the sharp side of the guillotine.
1:24.0	Since we're on the topic of death, why do you think the Romans killed Jesus?
1:29.0	Because he was an itinerant preacher who taught about loving your neighbor and your enemy?
1:33.6	Well, of course not.
1:35.2	They killed Jesus because he claimed to be the true king and therefore was considered a rival
1:40.1	to every earthly king.
1:42.1	Jesus' mission and his message were revolutionary.
1:45.0	Is there anything revolutionary about your faith? If not, I wonder what happened.
1:52.0	But when we hear the Bible declare that Jesus is king
