This week I want to talk about how difficult it is for us to shake our sense of God and

our connection to God, even though we are largely becoming less religious as a culture.

This has been happening in Europe even faster than it's happening here.

the word updated, you'll find this article that talks about how young people are leaving

Christianity.

And what I'm really talking about in this article are all the surveys that demonstrate

that many young people at some point will no longer claim a Christian identity.

Especially as you see them get to college age, but to be honest, it's happening much younger.

It's happening usually while they're in our own homes.

The junior high to high school ages are young people are making decisions about what they

want to do with their lives, how they want the kind of freedoms they want to live to

be honest.

And a lot of that has to do with how they view their religious beliefs of their parents.

So all that being said, there's a sense I think we have that, wow, we're becoming less

religious, not really.
