the scripture is Acts chapter 20 verse 24 and it says this but my life is worth nothing to me unless

I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus the work of telling others the

good news about the wonderful grace of God the devotional is titled risk is right better to lose

your life than to waste it says this living to magnify Christ is costly this is not surprising

he was crucified he was treated like a devil and he calls us to follow him mark 834 says

if anyone would come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me if our

single all embracing passion is to make much of Christ in life and death and if the life that

magnifies him the most is the life of costly love then life is risk and risk is right to run from

it is to waste your life on the far side of every risk even if it results in death the love of God

triumphs this is the promise that empowers us to take risks for the sake of Christ it is not the

impulse of heroism or the lust of adventure or the courage of self-reliance or the need to earn

God's favor it is simple trust in Christ that in him God will do everything necessary so that we
