Summary
The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (06/02/2023):
3:05pm- Shortly after delivering the commencement address to the U.S. Air Force Academy on Thursday, President Joe Biden took a scary fall—thankfully, after being helped up by several secret service agents he appeared to be ok. While some questioned whether this was a symptom of his advanced age, members of the mainstream media were quick to jump in and dismiss those fears.
3:10pm- June 1st kicked off Pride Month. An NBC Nightly News report from Stephanie Gosk bemoaned the fact that several companies have begun to be less vociferous in their support/participation in Pride Month—specifically, elements of the LGBTQ+ community that have been outspoken in their support for “gender affirming” procedures on children. For example, following backlash from parents, the Target retail chain removed children’s swimsuits that promised to “bind” and “tuck”—appealing to transgender-identifying kids.
3:15pm- JPMorgan has downgraded Target’s stock after backlash stemming from their sale of trans-merchandise for children. Caroline Downey of National Review writes, “[t]he stock was demoted from overweight, which means the broker has a positive outlook on the company’s prospects due to its current share price and that the stock is considered a strong buy, to neutral, which means the broker believes the investor should hold the stock as its price may not change.” You can read more here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/jpmorgan-downgrades-target-stock-amid-backlash-over-lgbt-merchandise/#:~:text=Target%27s%20stock%20was%20downgraded%20on,the%20store%27s%20LGBT%20product%20campaign
3:35pm- During a town hall-style interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, former President Donald Trump mocked Chris Christie’s presumed run for president in 2024—pointing out that the former New Jersey Governor is barely polling at 1%.
3:45pm- State Senator Ed Durr—representing New Jersey’s 3rd Legislative District—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his reelection campaign. In 2022, Durr grabbed national headlines when he pulled a major election day upset win over former NJ Senate Majority Leader Stephen Sweeney.
4:05pm- On Friday, the Labor Department released its May jobs report indicating that the U.S. economy added 339,000 new jobs. However, as economist Dr. EJ Antoni notes, a significant number of those new jobs were courtesy of government employment—with real hourly and weekly earnings still struggling due to inflation.
4:15pm- According to a report from Patrick Thomas of The Wall Street Journal, beef prices in the U.S. are on the rise due to inflation which has “pushed up prices for fuel, feed and equipment”—complicated by “[s]evere drought in many key cattle-producing states, such as Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas, parched grazing pastures, requiring spending on supplemental feed such as alfalfa and hay—which are up more than 20% on average from the prior year.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/beef-prices-high-summer-barbecue-12a08905?mod=hp_lead_pos5
4:20pm- While appearing on MSNBC, White House Economic Advisor Bharat Ramamurti said he believes that middle class families are doing well and, consequently, the economy is doing well under President Joe Biden’s leadership. However, as RNC research notes, the average American family has lost roughly $10,000 paying for increased costs from inflation since President Biden took office.
4:30pm- According to Andrew C. McCarthy, “FBI director Chris Wray reached a compromise with committee chairman James Comer (R-KY)” regarding a House Oversight Committee subpoenaed document which is alleged to show members of the Biden family were receiving payments from foreign nationals for policy influence while Joe Biden was Vice President. McCarthy writes, that “[t]he FBI will bring the subpoenaed document at the center of the dispute to the House on Monday. There, Comer and the committee’s ranking member, Jamie Raskin (D-MD), will review it and receive a related briefing from the bureau.” You can read the article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/2023/06/comer-and-wray-strike-compromise-staving-off-oversight-committee-contempt-citation/
4:40pm- Dr. Victoria Coates—former Deputy National Security Advisor & Senior Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Biden-McCarthy debt ceiling agreement that has now passed in the House and Senate. Dr. Coates also talks about French President Emmanuel Macron’s call for NATO to provide stronger security guarantees for Ukraine. But won’t the burden of additional spending to support Ukraine be disproportionately placed on American taxpayers—not France?
5:05pm- Comedian Chrissie Mayr joins The Rich Zeoli Show. Last month, Chrissie made fun of transgender-activist Dylan Mulvaney during her stand-up show and immediately received backlash from members of the audience—causing the clip to go viral on social media.
5:20pm- During a town hall-style interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, former President Donald Trump mocked Chris Christie’s presumed run for president in 2024—pointing out that the former New Jersey Governor is barely polling at 1%.
5:30pm- Earlier this week, former President Donald Trump criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ handling of the COVID-19 pandemic—going as far as to compare him unfavorably to former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. In response, DeSantis exclaimed Trump’s “whole family moved to Florida under my governorship!”
5:45pm- During an interview with the Babylon Bee, Elon Musk discussed the line of code that Twitter executives had used to suppress Tweets on the social media platform prior to his ownership.
6:05pm- JPMorgan has downgraded Target’s stock after backlash stemming from their sale of trans-merchandise for children. Caroline Downey of National Review writes, “[t]he stock was demoted from overweight, which means the broker has a positive outlook on the company’s prospects due to its current share price and that the stock is considered a strong buy, to neutral, which means the broker believes the investor should hold the stock as its price may not change.” Meanwhile, Bud Light continues to struggle financially following its affiliation with transgender-activist Dylan Mulvaney. Target’s market capitalization has dropped a massive $12 billion dollars, while Anheuser-Busch—parent company of Bud Light—has lost roughly $5 billion in market capitalization. You can read Downey’s article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/jpmorgan-downgrades-target-stock-amid-backlash-over-lgbt-merchandise/#:~:text=Target%27s%20stock%20was%20downgraded%20on,the%20store%27s%20LGBT%20product%20campaign
6:30pm- June 1st kicked off Pride Month. An NBC Nightly News report from Stephanie Gosk bemoaned the fact that several companies have begun to be less vociferous in their support/participation in Pride Month—specifically, elements of the LGBTQ+ community that have been outspoken in their support for “gender affirming” procedures on children. If companies are seeking to support oppressed groups, why isn’t there a month supporting Uyghur Muslims in China?
6:50pm- During a recent press conference, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau—son of Pierre Trudeau, and definitely not a Cuban dictator—talked about the merits of recycling!

| 0:30.0 | The news, if you are a government worker, because you have more friends now at the office, so there's that. Good for you. More people to go on coffee breaks with, because government jobs exploded in the New Jobs report. Good afternoon. Welcome to the show. Glad you're here today, 855-839-1210. It's Friday. We made it. Happy Friday. Hope you're Friday's off to a good start. And you have a good weekend ahead. Maybe you're joining me tomorrow on our bus trip to see the Phillies. Play the Nats in DC. |
| 1:00.0 | We should have a good time on a little road trip. The location for the bus has changed to the Springfield Mall, so just so you know you got an email about that, but just in case. Biden's fall is still a major story. I love how the media last night, the corporate media was all going on about how ridiculous it is that anybody was focusing on his fall. And of course, at the same time they were doing that, they kept playing the B-roll of Donald Trump walking slowly down a ramp. A slippery ramp in the, I guess it was wet or something. |
| 1:30.0 | I kept pointing that out, but that's not really, I don't think walking slow down a ramp is the same thing as falling all the time. Like this president has fallen upstairs, upstairs. I mean, that's just, I still an amazing feat, a gravity defying feat to fall up the stairs. And he's done it on multiple occasions. And then he said, yesterday he said, I got sandbagged. I got sandbags. But you know what the real problem for Joe Biden is? It's not me. And it's not conservatives. It's not people. |
| 2:00.0 | People mocking him for his gate. It is progressives who are pushing for an open Democrat primary and pushing for debates. That's right. Progressives. It's really bad news for Joe Biden with that category of voters. And there's a lot of them, Democrat Party, as you know. And they are not happy. Joe Biden is not popular among them. And let's face it, he's a daughtering old fool who falls all the time. And so they look at him and they think to themselves, my God, is this what we got to deal with? This guy can win. |
| 2:30.0 | This guy can't win. What are we doing? We're going into this now. And this guy cannot win. So he's got problems. But his problems, you know, it's, if the media wants to blame right wing talk radio or right wing television, conservative, stalking heads, fine. You knock yourself out and defend them all you want. But it's the base that he's got a big problem with. |
| 2:49.9 | It was like that actor yesterday, I played you the clip of that James Vanderbick, who was saying, why can't we have debates? He's backing RFK Jr. And he voted for Biden before. He thinks it's ridiculous. How the Democrat Party is controlling this for Joe Biden to make sure that he becomes the nominee. And you understand why, of course, because Joe Biden would really, if he had a face a challenge one on one, he would be really hurt by that. But then a comment that was made today, which is |
| 3:19.9 | if Joe Biden is going to play, this is RFK Jr. who made this, this point, if Joe Biden is going to be in a prize fight, you don't train for a prize fight by sitting on your couch eating Chick-fil-A. You get in the ring and you practice. And so a debate against him will be good practice, which is true. Except that's going with the theory that Joe Biden is actually going to be on the debate stage against whoever the Republican nominee is in the fall of 2024. And I'm not so certain that's going to be the case. |
| 3:46.9 | But considering that there's no way in hell the Democrat Party would ever go with RFK Jr. Because they can't control him. The corporate overlords that control that party, they can't control him. They would not give him that advantage. They would not give him that leg up. It's not so much that they're afraid that he would beat Biden. |
| 4:04.9 | It's they're afraid that if Biden is out of this race, he could then become the nominee. Because so many Democrats would hear from him and think, well, he's not bad. |
| 4:14.9 | So if Biden does have to get out of the race for a myriad of reasons, a myriad of reasons, they won't turn around and go, you know, this RFK Jr. guys got some good ideas. |
| 4:24.9 | That's what they're worried about the most. |
| 4:26.9 | Remember, they want to control this entire process just like they did years ago, years ago when Bernie Sanders, it looked like he was catching serious momentum. |
| 4:34.9 | They ripped it under the rug. They pulled the rug out from under Bernie back in 2016. They did the same thing to him in 2020. |
| 4:42.9 | Every time Bernie got momentum and they saw that there was a wave of progressive populism. That was happening in that Democrat party. |
| 4:52.9 | They stepped in to control it and make sure that he would not be the nominee. |
| 4:56.9 | Because say what you want about Bernie, he can't be controlled. Same thing with RFK Jr. |
| 5:02.9 | So that's the big panic that they're worried about right now. |
| 5:05.9 | I mean, if you put him on stage with Biden, Biden would still probably get the nomination, but if he doesn't get the nomination because he's not in the race, he can't continue whatever it is, then it probably would go to RFK Jr. |
| 5:18.9 | An uncontrollable element within the Democrat party. |
| 5:21.9 | Democratic Party today is all about its corporations. I mean, just look around you. We have now entered Rainbow Month. |
| 5:29.9 | It's Rainbow Month and we're going to see Rainbow's now for the entire month of June. Rainbows everywhere. Companies donning themselves in rainbows, changing their logos to rainbows. |
