The Index of Economic Freedom is an annual report published by the Heritage Foundation, analyzing the degree of economic freedom in 184 economies around the world. Concerningly, this year’s edition, the 30th, registered a 23-year low in the global economic freedom rating, and has seen the United States’ rating, ranked 25th of the countries included, continue to decrease.
Here to help us understand the Index and how we can use it to promote good economic policy is Heritage’s Executive Vice President Derrick Morgan.
