I'm Jay Warner Wallace.

This week we're going to talk about an essential doctrine of Christianity known as the

Trinity.

The triune nature of God is something that's unique to

Christianity. In some ways, it's a bit mysterious, can be a bit confusing, awfully hard to analogize

or to put into some type of illustration or an object lesson. And lots of folks have tried to

describe over the years the nature of the Trinity. And some of even argued, and there are lots of

splinter groups that have

come away from Christianity that have just argued against the triune nature of God. And lots of folks

will say things like, well, you know, there's no, the word Trinity is not in the New Testament. Well,

that's true. The word Trinity is not to be found anywhere on the pages of Scripture. At the same time, the word incarnation is not to be found anywhere on the pages of Scripture. At the same time, the word

incarnation is not to be found anywhere on the pages of Scripture, but few of us would deny that

to be a Christian means you must accept the incarnation of God as Jesus himself. This is a doctrine

of Christian, which is not all that controversial. It certainly can be argued and made, a case can be

made for this from the pages of the New Testament. And in the same made, a case can be made for this from the pages of the
