Well, welcome back to another edition of the Please Convince me podcast, and we are getting ready to head into the new year,

and we're just looking at some of the issues that we're going to be studying together as a church.

And a lot of them are going to be in our section, which is on the podcast called Doctrine, on the top toolbar.

But it's actually a series we're doing called Christian to the core, and we're examining the Apostles Creed and really just trying to isolate what the essentials are

in the Christian faith. As a matter of fact, this week in our church, we're talking about the,

we're moving through the Apostles Creed, you know, word for word. So when we start off with,

you know, I believe in God, the very first sentence of the Apostles Creed, you know, word for word. So when we start off with, you know, I believe in God, the very first sentence of the Apostles Creed, we are actually breaking that

down in several pieces. The first one is I. Who am I? It's the doctrine of humanity, the doctrine

of man. We had to examine that first to see who we really are and what our condition is.

And then the second piece would be,

I believe, and we're studying the doctrine of salvation. What is what it is that saves us?

And we started talking about this a little bit, a couple of podcasts ago when we were examining
