1:03.0	debate has profound consequences in terms of the standards of Britain's public services compared with other European countries

1:16.7	These are deep, deep consequences because of the mendacious tax and spend debate.

1:25.2	Has it always been like this?
1:30.1	And actually the answer is really interesting because it is more nuanced than you would expect. You know, there are a lot of people,
1:36.2	clearly Rachel Reeves, Kirstama, I know it's Morgan McSweeney's view, you know, the campaign guru,
1:42.1	that whenever tax and spend is an issue with elections,
1:45.1	Labor loses, it's not quite as straightforward as that.
