In my career, I've tasted just about every flavor of cookie there is.

Chocolate chip, Altmeal raisin, Snickardoodle, peanut butter,

those little shortbreads with a sticky jelly in the middle, and so many more.

Being a professional cookie taster is a tough job.

It's not as easy as you'd think to find the fudge cookie with just the right silky texture.

Or the ginger snap with enough ginger and snap.

But the worst part is getting a dry, sticky mouth after too much tasting.

That's why I always make sure I have a tall, cool glass of milk next to me.

A sip of creamy white milk turns a plain old plate of cookies into a symphony

of the senses. It just wouldn't be the same with water or juice or pickle brine. And it has

to be white. But, and gosh, this is embarrassing for an expert like me. I don't know why milk is

white. My friend Claire just asked me the same question, too. My name is Claire from Brooklyn

Year, and my question is why I smell white. Milk contains a lot lot of fat and quite a lot of protein,

and these are bundled up in little balls,

microscopic little balls within the milk.

And when light hits these little balls,

the light reflects off it and so it looks white.
