| 0:37.6 | So why is it that fructose and things like high fructose corn syrup are so bad? |
| 0:42.7 | So just so you know, high fructose corn syrup is about 42 to 55% fructose and the rest |

| 0:50.7 | So it's not 100% glucose at all. |
| 0:52.6 | Now in nature, fruit is seasonal, right? |
| 0:56.3 | So nowadays, especially in the US, the daily consumption of fructose is roughly between |

| 1:31.4 | So even though it's low on the glycemic index, what happens, it creates this significant |

| 1:38.0 | In other words, the fructose can be converted into fat. |
