But one of the things is that people that exhibit or people that have mental illness,

of course, should not be able to obtain firearms.

And that is a huge issue, except it's easy to say, but put it into practice with the HIPAA laws

where everyone's health and mental health is kept a secret.

So how does law enforcement that will issue firearms or firearm permits to people,

how do they ascertain that this person applying for a firearm permit or trying to buy a gun

is mentally sound to be able to own that gun. Very difficult because again our laws

sort of prohibit a deep dive into that person's medical and mental health

so that would preclude us finding out

if they have, in fact, have a problem with their mental health.
