Well, on the one hand, you could say, I don't see the connection. On the other hand, the text indicates that that's required. If you

confess with your mouth, Jesus as Lord, and believe that God raised him from the dead, you

will be saved. That was Romans 10. When it says Jesus as Lord, a reference to Jesus as Lord, that's a divine title.
