0:03.9	assent backpack, why I like it, what's good about it, and hopefully you get something useful
0:10.2	out of it. There are a lot of ways, a lot of packs out on the market. I think I've used every
0:15.0	single top tier hunting backpack. And that's all I'm really comparing to because all the backpacks not in the
0:22.7	hunting space really aren't built for what we do we carry heavy loads especially when we kill an
0:27.4	animal that's something that other backpackers don't need to do they don't need to pack out you know
0:32.2	hundred pounds of meat 120 pounds of meat or something or heads or antlers, moose rack.
0:37.9	They don't do that.
0:40.0	And so their backpacks are built accordingly.
0:43.1	What I need as a backcountry hunter is something that can accommodate my loads going in,
0:49.0	10 days of food.
0:50.1	I got to bring in sometimes a pack raft.
0:53.7	I got to bring in sometimes a pack raft. I got to bring in weapons, ammunition optics.
0:59.1	These things that a typical backcountry hiker doesn't bring.
1:04.7	So I want it to carry efficient on the way in.
1:07.9	A lot of backpacker type packs could do that job up to 70 pounds. They'd be
1:12.4	really comfortable, probably. But once you have to load it up with real heavy, you know,
1:19.9	high and quarter of an elk and pack that out, that's when those other packs, those non-hunting
1:25.8	packs just fail.
1:37.0	In the hunting space, I think that the initial ascent pack is hands down the best heavy load carrying pack on the market.
