You can afford anything but not everything.

Every choice that you make is a trade-off against something else, and that doesn't just

apply to your money.

That applies to your time, your focus, your energy, your attention, anything in your life

that's a limited resource.

That leads to two questions.

Number one, what matters most to you?

And number two, how do you align your day-to-day actions with those priorities?

Answering these two questions is a lifetime practice, and that is what this podcast is

here to explore.

This week I want to do something unusual.

I want to share with you an interview that I did on another podcast about two years ago.

Now this podcast is called Lessons from a Quitter, and they interviewed me about quitting

my job at the beginning of a recession.

I wanted to play it for you because it seems particularly apt right now.

We are in an economic collapse.

We have the highest unemployment since the Great Depression.

There are many more people who want jobs than there are jobs available.

And this particular community, the afford anything community, is comprised of a lot of

people who voluntarily want to quit their jobs.
