song has been hit. Get somebody there. Then the child picks up the phone. I'm talking to the child.

And you know, where's your mommy? What happened? And he's telling me, you know, my dad shot my mom.

who held the job of a 911 dispatcher. So this is a similar episode that we've done in the past

long time ago, years ago, where we first learned about this position. The person who actually

picks up the phone when someone calls 911. And that was super eye-opening for us. And we just kind

of wanted to revisit this topic. I know we have a lot of new listeners. So this might be the first time

that you're even learning about this. But it's such a thankless job, such a crazy job that you

don't really think about. And also one that just has such an emotional toll on the person who

does this job and has to hear the things that, you know, they hear on a daily basis. So we're

really curious to hear someone else's story about their experience, you know, in this position.

why why even get into this job? I think we, you know, can understand

how difficult it probably is on a daily basis. So what kind of drew you to it in the first place?

Well, in the beginning, it wasn't something that I fully intended to do. My

dad at the time was an officer with the same department and he was there for about 25 years.
