What I find to be very interesting is that this thing doesn't make me uncomfortable at all.

This thing actually makes me feel connected to people, makes me feel like I love people. I show them compassion and empathy

and, you know, whether I know them a lot or whether I don't know them at all, whether it's

somebody in my family, maybe somebody I met and I'm just kind of like building a relationship

with. And it is the idea

of telling someone I love you and one of the things that came to my head to discuss this topic is

because I've been seeing some really cool posts about men telling their guy friends that are

heterosexual or very platonic.

I love you.

And I find that it's very interesting.

I've been sitting at tables for many years with friends that don't tell their parents,

I love you,

or their parents have never said it to them.

Or it's a really uncomfortable thing

to talk about and say to a lot of people.

And I would like just to start with someone

you lived with all your life that maybe has treated you really well, a parent,

a sibling, a cousin, someone who's like really in your village, if you will. And I just remember

being at the table and having conversations and people saying, no, it makes me really uncomfortable.

I've never told my mom I love them or my it makes me really uncomfortable. I've never told

my mom I love them or my dad that I love them or I've never heard that from my parent, you know,

especially as you get older. And a lot of people haven't even heard their parents say that to each other.
