Amen. Amen. Good morning. Welcome. You can be seated. I want to welcome those of you that are joining us

online as well. We're so glad that you are. Before we jump in, I wanted to mention that Tuesday night is our prayer

meeting here in the sanctuary at 7 p.m. I hope you're able to come and join with us and pray with us here in the

sanctuary from 7 to 830. That's coming up this Tuesday. So we're in 1st John and chapter 3. We started

this chapter in 1 John last week. We're going to pick it up where we left off.

And our texts today will be verses 4 through 9. So I'll ask you to stand again now that you're

comfortably seated. And if not, where you're seated is fine. Just follow along as I read, beginning in

verse four.

The Apostle John is continuing now and by the Holy Spirit writes verse four.

Everyone who sins breaks the law. In fact, sin is lawlessness. but you know that he appears so that he might take away our sins and in him is no sin.

I don't want you to get messed up on verse 6 and actually verse 7 and then verse 8 and then verse 9 2

Verse 6

No one who lives in him

keeps on sinning

No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray.

He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous he verse eight who does what is sinful is of the devil

because the devil has been sinning from the beginning the reason the son of god appeared was to

destroy the devil's work.

Now here it is again, verse 9. No one who is born of God will continue to sin.

Because God's seed remains in him. He cannot go on sinning because he has been born of God.
