1:21.6	this is my sixth presidential election that I've covered. How many of you covered?
1:26.4	Well, my first campaign was in 1976 as the youth
1:29.8	director for Gerald Ford in the state of Massachusetts. I was 21. So I was 20, actually. So I've
1:35.1	been working at this since 1976. So when you look at where this situation is, just a few days out now,
1:42.2	with the breadth of your history of covering politics, so many people
1:47.7	say that there's a lot of tension across the nation, that this is a unusual environment,
1:54.1	that the country is so divided. How do you see it just six days out, Hugh? Well, on a personal
2:00.4	level, I've got lots of lefties in my family, and we're not
2:03.6	mad at each other. We're voting different ways. So I think sometimes there's a tendency to
2:07.5	overstate deep divisions within the country and confuse that with very close elections, which this is.
