And in the new year, there are some pretty astonishing numbers.

Nearly 50 million people across the country had their sensitive health data breached in 2021,

which is up more than triple in the last three years.

Health care organisations in every state except for one South Dakota had reported these incidents

in the last year. And about half of states and DC saw more than one in 10 of their residents

directly impacted. So I figured we should really dig into this and figure out what's going on here.

So he went digging through six years worth of data from the HHS office for civil rights.

And kind of was able to sift out that hacking was really the big cause of this.
