The race is on, or rather it's soon to be off the Kevin Magnuson, Roman Grogon,

with confirmation that neither will continue to drive for Hasse in 2021.

The latest step in the driver market perhaps isn't a huge surprise but likely means neither

driver will be on the Formula One grid next year. I'm Ed Straw and joining me to discuss

everything has is Mark Hughes. Well let's delve straight into it Mark. I guess it's not a great

surprise that they're both out but it's it's potentially the end in F1 for two drivers who've been a big part of Formula One in recent

years, isn't it?

It is, yes, and unfurled potential for both of them, really.

They just didn't make that leap from the initial promise into the big leagues, and they

were both sort of really treading water by signing for

Haasper in the hope that they could build something together I guess and progress

together but it it hasn't really happened the team is sort of its form has been

patchy hasn't it and there's no clear direction that it's going that

it's it's it's it was its best season it was 2018 which was it was building nicely up to that

point but then last year was a disaster and this year is probably just as bad for different reasons

so yeah the the momentum for the drivers, careers is

long, it's long past that peak where they're fashionable. So if Hasse has decided for whatever

reason, probably financial, that it wishes to go with a fresh lineup, probably rookies,

then yeah, that's obviously it's left no place for either Roman or Kevin.

Yeah, and Gunterstein, the team principle, pretty much accepted that because next year

as a carryover year, there will be a step forward from the Ferrari power unit package

of some sort, but
