God is the infinite value of the universe.

If he loves us, he must commend that to us for our enjoyment forever and ever.

In his presence, his fullness of joy and his right hand are what?

Pleasures forevermore.

He would not be a loving God unless He gave us God.

There's a way of talking about God's love that makes it sound like we are the center of everything.

And then there's what Piper says here,

that if God really loves us,

he has to give us what's most valuable in the universe.

And that's God.

To love us, God must give us God.

John chapter 4 verse 23. When we were praying at my church yesterday, we have a 6.30 prayer meeting on Tuesday and then an 1130 prayer meeting, and I was sure to

visit both of them because I wanted to be well covered as I came here. The thing that came out as we

were praying was, you don't have anything to teach to these

people down at Columbia. This place is known for their knowledge of missions, but maybe the Lord has

been arranging the kindling and the tender down there so that you could drop a match on it.

Maybe that's what the Lord would be doing.
