So to what extent is it in our genes or, you know, somehow something we don't understand,

which we can label as talent, versus the way in which we practice.

It's something that I teach at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco, you know, how

to use the neuroscience of learning and memory to help people develop more effective practice

strategies.

It's a topic I've been really passionate about.

And you might remember that a few years ago, we had David Epstein on the show. He wrote a book

called The Sports Gene, which was really interesting look at sort of what are some of the

aspects of talent that we can tie to genetics that are surprising. Yeah, I think you're even

underselling your interest in this.
