0:16.0	Christians before they started walking with Jesus and he says that you were once
0:19.8	walking in the course of this world. I kind of imagine a track, a journey that you're going on.
0:25.5	And Paul understood that every age has its own spirit, its own way of thinking about the world.
0:31.4	If we want to walk with Jesus, we need to know what the course of the world is,
0:35.8	what the spirit of the age is. Yeah, and every age can have a different spirit. So what would you say the spirit of our age is better?
0:44.0	If I had to summarize it in a single phrase,
0:46.3	it would be self-expressive individualism.
0:48.5	So there's a good mouthful.
0:49.9	I'm sure that's what everybody wanted.
0:51.2	Yeah, so that brings us to the topic of today's
0:53.5	conversation. We're going to talk about Untamed by Glen and Doyle and I said to a
0:58.3	friend the other day, if you want to know the spirit of our age today, read this book because I think Glenn and Doyle does an excellent job of capturing and articulating in a well-written book what the spirit of our age is, this expressive individualistic culture that we live in.

1:26.1	goal in life is to enjoy myself.
1:28.7	Yeah, there's the spirit of the age, right?
1:30.8	That I do what's best for me and that is appreciated and celebrated by the culture
1:35.8	86% of people believe that the way to do this is by doing whatever you desire most
