the insanity at the border and how this is just yet another issue of an imploding by an

administration. And we'll do that right after this important message.

We're back with the Victor Davis Hanson show. So Victor, last week in the Mexican border

town of Nuevo, Laredo, a cartel leader named El, I think it's El Huevo, a Harado Trevino.

He was arrested by one press account. His arrest was a big blow to the Northeast cartel

and rival gangs sought to immediately fill that power vacuum. They did it with gunfire.

I think some of those bullets made their way across the border and into US buildings, maybe

even people. This comes, by the way, Victor has ice released findings that showed record

low record low deportations of legal immigrants in 2021, which was a year probably of record

highs of illegal immigration. All this Victor has not been lost on American citizens and

voters. It may have been lost on Joe Biden. We know in his 50 years involved in politics,

he's never been to the border, not once by his own admission, much more happy nowadays

in a basement in Delaware. Victor, it's another sign. Let's talk about your thoughts on

what's happening at the border and how that and other issues show that it's all caving
