I've loved traveling especially flying since I was little and every single time I'm on an airplane I take a moment to look out the window and marvel at the

wonder of flight. It really is incredible when you think about it. I love the hustle and

bustle of the airport, imagining where all the people are going and why. I love the challenge of being the best security.

Now, whether you share my adoration of the whole idea or not, and I know a lot of you do not, we probably all agree on this. The experience of flying has gotten worse. Like, a lot worse. And I swear it's not just because now I often

have a squirmy toddler on my lap although that doesn't help. But the structural

experience of flying is becoming an increasingly negative one for most Americans.

A smooth flying experience can feel rare, much less one that's actually enjoyable.

Even for someone like me who is coming in with rose-colored optimism for the whole ordeal.
